My Travels To Greece As I arrived in Athens miles away from the place I call home I headed to the Acropolis of Athens. As a religious pilgrim my gaze is attracted upward to the beautiful Acropolis, which stands over the city as a great symbol of Athens. I get a big sense of pride, exciting me as I finally have the chance to lay my eyes on the great temple and as I climb higher and higher I get a better view of this incredible temple. The temple was built in honor of the goddess Athena making this a religious sight. After 15 minutes of climbing I walked near the temple and looked into my bag to take out gifts I had brought along to offer Athena watching many others with so many different gifts ranging from animals to objects. While the person next to me has a sacrifice ( a sheep) I admire their dedication to the Goddess.  I admire the temple built out of a beautiful marble, getting ready to pray to the great goddess Athena.
